In the summer of 2008, the basement of Mya Lacarte was refurbished from its previous guise as an extension to the dining room, into Mya Lounge; an exclusive private dining area.

Walking down the steps at the back of the restaurant, you enter Mya Lounge. The soft, thick carpet under your feet will guide you past a brand new bar adorned in raspberry wallpaper and lime light. Either perch on a bar table and enjoy a cocktail or coffee, or walk around the corner to Caversham’s only exclusive dining room, kitted out with seductive soft sofas, comfy cushions and ambient mood lighting. The room is simply gorgeous.

For exclusive hire of the room you will receive first class personal service, from your own personal waiter. We can pre-arrange the food with you, and have the wine on ice for your arrival.

Christmas 2008 at Mya Lacarte is jingling ever closer. Whether for a small intimate do, or big company bash, Mya Lacarte is the perfect venue to celebrate the culinary delight that is Christmas. Every evening throughout the Christmas period, we open our doors to those who want great food in majestic surroundings.

The Christmas Party Menu design is well underway. Prepare yourselves for traditional Christmas treats and flavours stretching to the more daring British produce which you may be unaccustomed to. The Christmas Party menu will be available for viewing and pre ordering from the beginning of October.

You have the choice of two dining rooms for your Mya Lacarte Christmas Party. Firstly the classic Mya Lacarte main dining room. We can accommodate up to 40 guests in Mya Lacarte’s main restaurant for that swanky Christmas bash, and the menu will be priced at £30 per head.

Mya Lounge is perfect for that exclusive Christmas bash, and seats up to 16 guests with plenty of room for mingling and drinking on the bar stools and bar tables. You can hold your Christmas awards ceremonies with an unrestrained noise level, give out the presents, and have your own waiter to keep the drinks flowing! Our £30 per head Christmas Party menu will be available in Mya Lounge throughout the winter.

To celebrate the beginning of the new season Mya Lacarte hosts a British Tasting Night. Every course is designed to originate from a specific region in the UK, and reflects the current change in season. Each course is offered with specially selected wines. As the evening is aimed at informing the local people of the fantastic delights the UK has to offer all year round, each course is accompanied with information of the particular dish. The whole evening is set to the relaxing sound of a live pianist.
